Account Manager
Concertina is seeking an experienced Account Manager – Strategic Account Specialist for our client, a leading pump manufacturing company. This is a full-time, work-from-home role designed for a versatile professional who thrives at the intersection of client success, technical support, and strategic business development.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing industrial accounts, strong communication skills, and mechanical aptitude—particularly related to pump systems and rotating equipment. You’ll be responsible for building lasting relationships, resolving complex client issues, and identifying opportunities for business expansion across key industries such as oil & gas, water/wastewater, food & beverage, and chemical processing.
Job Responsibilities:
Client Success & Technical Support
- Act as the main point of contact for all customer service inquiries, product support, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Sales teams to coordinate technical resolutions and remote diagnostics.
- Proactively follow up with clients post-installation to ensure optimal pump performance.
- Handle warranty issues, replacement part coordination, and technical documentation support.
- Deliver an exceptional, high-trust customer experience throughout the client lifecycle.
Account Management & Retention
- Manage a portfolio of key strategic accounts, ensuring ongoing satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Keep CRM systems updated to reflect accurate client activity and pipeline data.
- Track customer sentiment, uncover upsell or cross-sell opportunities, and mitigate potential churn.
- Share client insights with internal teams to help improve products and services.
Sales Outreach & Growth
- Conduct strategic outreach and cold calling to identify new business opportunities.
- Work with the Sales team to support growth initiatives and strategic regional development.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to position our client’s offerings effectively.
- Assist in proposal development, quote follow-ups, and technical sales discussions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management, client success, or technical sales, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; prior exposure to pump systems or fluid-handling equipment is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer relationships and deliver consistent results.
- Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working remotely.
Preferred Experience:
- Industry background in pump manufacturing, water/wastewater, oil & gas, or food processing.
- Ability to read technical drawings, pump curves, and collaborate on complex engineering projects.
- Familiarity with service scheduling and industrial maintenance cycles.
