Technical Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Manager for our client in the capital equipment manufacturing space. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and a passion for supporting sales functions in a fast-growing company focused on sustainable water solutions. You will manage inbound inquiries, generate quotes, maintain Salesforce data, and coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless sales operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the VP of Sales and Marketing in customer acquisition and retention activities.
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries via email, phone, and CRM systems.
• Develop accurate sales quotes and proposals in coordination with engineering and operations.
• Manage customer and project data in Salesforce, ensuring up-to-date records and reporting.
• Track leads and opportunities throughout the sales cycle, ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Coordinate communication between engineering, production, and customer service teams.
• Draft technical product information and follow-up communications for customers.
• Generate reports and dashboards to track sales performance, KPIs, and revenue forecasts.
• Assist in sales presentations, trade shows, and marketing campaign execution.
• Stay current on the company’s products, applications, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in inside sales, technical sales support, or a customer-facing sales role.
• At least 5 years of OEM experience managing distributors and manufacturer reps.
• Proficient in Salesforce CRM for reporting, opportunity tracking, and pipeline management.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication skills with a sharp attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• B2B or capital equipment sales experience required.

Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of wastewater systems, fluid handling, pumps, or heat exchangers.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical specifications or drawings.
