System Administration

Concertina is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator for our client in the IT services sector. This role requires a Tier 3-level engineer with deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, and automation using PowerShell. The ideal candidate will provide high-level support, mentor junior staff, and contribute to systems optimization and documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and user/group structures.
• Administer VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Oversee Windows Server infrastructure and services.
• Manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Defender, and Purview.
• Administer SharePoint and OneDrive environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Tier 3 technical issues.
• Provide top-tier support to end users and help desk teams.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for systems and procedures.
• Collaborate on internal projects and technical initiatives.
• Mentor help desk staff and provide technical guidance.
• Track and update tickets, monitor resolution progress, and maintain communication with clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven Tier 3-level problem-solving capabilities.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory architecture.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• English fluency at C1–C2 level.
• Bonus: familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.), and experience with auto dealership systems (CDK, DealerTrack, etc.).
