Senior Draftsman

Concertina is seeking a skilled Senior Drafter to create precise plot plans, architectural drafts, and address-specific plans while ensuring compliance with local permitting procedures. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with engineering partners, provide timely support to customers and permitting agencies, and manage well-organized documentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional work that supports our growth and continued excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Creating Technical Drawings: Develop accurate 2D CAD drawings from conceptual sketches or plans to final construction-ready documents.
• Collaborating with Designers/Engineers: Coordinate with design teams and engineers to interpret project requirements and design specifications.
• Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all designs and drawings adhere to industry standards and local regulations.
• Utilizing CAD Software: Proficiently use CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for drafting and modifying technical drawings.
• Maintaining Records: Manage revisions and maintain up-to-date drawing records and specifications.
• Quality and Regulatory Assurance: Confirm that final drawings comply with permitting standards and quality expectations.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant drafting experience, or equivalent education and experience; bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Strong background in residential construction or home remodeling drafting.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding junior drafters.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Professional demeanor and effective communication with various stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with building codes and permitting requirements in WA and OR is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Expertise in AutoCAD is required; Revit experience is a bonus.
• Prior hands-on construction experience (e.g., framing) is beneficial but not required.
