Sales Application Engineer
Concertina is seeking a technically skilled and highly motivated Sales Application Engineer for our client, a global leader in advanced pump solutions. This is a full-time, work-from-home role ideal for an engineer or technical sales professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for supporting industrial clients across sectors such as oil & gas, wastewater, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
As the primary technical resource in the sales process, you’ll support the field sales team, guide prospective clients through product evaluations, and provide expert technical support to ensure project success. You’ll play a critical role in customer satisfaction, product fit, and solution delivery—while helping drive business growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Sales Engineering & Client Support
- Serve as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, end users, OEMs, and distributors.
- Address technical and functional aspects of RFIs, RFPs, and client inquiries.
- Deliver product demonstrations and clarify technical advantages.
- Act as the communication bridge between customers and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, and Manufacturing).
Quoting & Documentation
- Prepare technical quotations, bid packages, and product submittals.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for accounts, quotes, and correspondence.
- Document all customer requirements and technical conversations.
Project Management & Reporting
- Monitor and report on ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Resolve customer issues in alignment with business and service goals.
- Provide timely updates and status reports on client deliverables.
Product & Market Expertise
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of products and applications.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
- Participate in training and knowledge sharing for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or 5–10 years of relevant technical sales/engineering experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proven experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities remotely.
- Strong customer service mindset and solution-focused attitude.
Preferred Experience:
- Technical sales experience with mechanical or process equipment.
- Background in manufacturing, fluid systems, or industrial applications.
- Experience supporting OEMs, reps, or distributor networks.
