Concertina is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist for our client in the industrial manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement and vendor management, with experience sourcing equipment and supplies across multiple product lines. This role requires strategic sourcing skills, strong supplier negotiation, and an ability to support a cross-functional team to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure favorable terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage purchase orders to maintain supply flow.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and service teams to forecast demand.
  • Track supplier performance and analyze purchasing data for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed purchasing records and ensure procurement compliance.
  • Participate in supply chain improvement initiatives and vendor audits.
  • Support strategic sourcing plans and identify alternative suppliers or materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret procurement data.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-product environment.
