Project Engineering Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Project Engineering Coordinator to support engineering-led projects by ensuring documentation, schedules, systems, and reporting are accurate, complete, and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
This role plays a mission-critical support function by protecting engineering time, strengthening execution discipline, and ensuring that no documentation, compliance, or administrative detail is missed. Acting as a structured and technically fluent extension of the Project Engineer, the Project Engineering Coordinator ensures projects are set up correctly from day one and supported through close-out and billing.

Core Responsibilities
Project Setup & Contract Alignment

Review project contracts, specifications, and scope documents to understand documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Assist in translating contract requirements into clear project checklists, workflows, and reporting structures.

Ensure project folders and systems are properly set up at project initiation to support compliance and traceability.

Maintain standardized and organized documentation structures across active projects.
Project Lifecycle Administration & Coordination

Ensure required documentation and information are complete at every stage of the project lifecycle, from award through close-out.

Maintain and update the project management platform, ensuring accurate tracking of:

Project setup

Key milestones

Ongoing progress

Close-out and billing readiness

Proactively identify missing documentation, overdue inputs, or inconsistencies and escalate as needed.
Documentation, Reporting & Data Management

Compile, organize, and quality-check essential project data, including:

Surveys
-
Drill logs
-
Daily and blast reports
-
Photos and videos
-
Monitoring and compliance records
-

Coordinate with field personnel to ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Upload and maintain records across document management and reporting systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Prepare internal and client-facing reports that support project reviews, compliance, and billing.
Technical & Systems Support

Develop a working familiarity with drilling, blasting, or engineering workflows, tools, and terminology.

Assist with data preparation and system inputs related to scheduling, reporting, and technical platforms.

Identify opportunities to improve documentation flow, reduce duplication, and streamline administrative processes.
Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Support

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership to improve project administration processes.

Support the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and operational execution.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in a project engineering, project coordination, or project management support role.

Prior experience supporting construction, engineering, mining, or industrial projects is strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong proficiency in:

Project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet)
