Job Summary: The Product Development and Sourcing Specialist is a dual-role position designed for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for innovation and excellence. This role involves conducting thorough research in various product categories, working closely with factories around the world, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operation within the product development team. The candidate will utilize AI tools and applications to streamline processes, improve communication, and enhance decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with international factories and suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Utilize AI technologies and relevant applications to optimize product sourcing, development processes, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage comprehensive spreadsheets and databases with precision, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Provide scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation, to facilitate efficient team operations.
  • Work independently on projects from conception to completion, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, with exceptional English speaking and writing abilities.
  • Create and manage product launch documents from product ideation to final production hand off to production manager.
  • Ability to use various graphic programs is helpful
  • Excellent with costing and spreadsheets formulas 
  • Understands the creative design process of brainstorming and ideation.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of proven experience in product development, sourcing, and administrative roles, preferably in a global context with personal care products.
  • Familiarity with the latest AI tools and applications relevant to product development and administrative tasks.
  • Understanding of relevant product testing and protocols
  • Strong experience working with international factories and US factories understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheet management, and other relevant software applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Has solid understanding of Amazon and ecommerce and the personal care industry.
