Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and support control solutions for industrial laundry and water treatment equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC programming, electrical schematics, and automation systems in a manufacturing setting. You will be essential to ensuring system reliability, safety, and performance from concept through installation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Specify and source appropriate electrical components, sensors, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMI systems for both production and field use.
  • Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NFPA, UL, NEC).
  • Support production and field service teams to resolve electrical issues and ensure smooth equipment operation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as BOMs, ECOs, and service guides.
  • Collaborate in design reviews, cost-reduction initiatives, and product improvement strategies.
  • Assist in the installation and field testing of electrical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and external safety and compliance standards.
  • Work cross-functionally to optimize design, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • EIT certification preferred; PE licensure is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or Revit.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, motor control, and PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including NFPA, UL, and NEC.
  • Effective communicator with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Internship or work experience in an industrial equipment or manufacturing environment is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
