Director of Finance

Concertina is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance / Senior Accounting Controller with a strong foundation in controller-level responsibilities. This role is perfect for professionals with deep NetSuite expertise and a proven track record in financial operations—particularly within the consumer goods or retail sector. You’ll play a critical role in month-end close, audit preparation, ERP optimization, and financial reporting. We're looking for a tech-savvy leader who thrives in high-performance environments and is ready to drive financial excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end close process (target: within 15 days post-month end).
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and executive-level board presentations.
  • Support annual audits with complete documentation and coordination.
  • Lead optimization of NetSuite ERP, including fixed asset module completion.
  • Strengthen internal controls, particularly around vendor payments.
  • Collaborate with tax partners and manage sales tax compliance through Avalara.
  • Maintain accurate inventory accounting for retail-specific operations.
  • Resolve ongoing ERP bugs and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure clean and accurate GL and subledger maintenance (currently 80–90% complete).

Qualifications:

  • Experience with large ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong accounting background, with hands-on ERP implementation experience.
  • Deep understanding of accrual-based accounting and audit processes.
  • Consumer goods or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA is a plus, but not required; advanced degree also beneficial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
