Construction Team Analyst

Concertina is seeking an experienced Construction Team Analyst for our client in the commercial real estate lending industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting construction finance operations, particularly in managing construction loan documentation, draw administration, and real-time financial reporting. A strong background in construction lending workflows, excellent analytical skills, and precision in documentation are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update internal file systems for all construction loan projects, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Upload and verify borrower documentation for completeness and accessibility.
  • Manage draw data using proprietary tracking and reporting tools.
  • Review draw submissions for compliance with internal checklists and funding protocols.
  • Analyze draw data to support budget compliance and document alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver draw funding packages and financial summary reports to stakeholders.
  • Update Cost Breakdown files and integrate financial components including AIA G702/G703 forms, third-party invoices, and funding allocations.
  • Track and reconcile key documentation:
    • Lien waivers (conditional/unconditional)
    • Change orders and buyout logs
    • Project schedules (actual vs projected)
    • Direct pay invoices and wire details
    • Insurance certificates
  • Maintain real-time tracking tools including:
    • Invoice logs
    • 12-month cash flow forecasts
  • Coordinate and archive essential project documentation, such as permits, executed loan documents, and field reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction finance, draw administration, or real estate lending.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data tools like pivot tables and formulas.
  • Familiarity with AIA documentation, lien waivers, and change order workflows.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience with digital document management and draw tracking systems.
